For anyone interested, it turned out the valve stem went bad. All fixed now. Thanks to all for your replies.

Why is it always the inner dual???

I know it is just as hard to change the outer as it is the inner dual when you have a flat. It just seems the inner wheel is the one that needs attention. Why is that????? Thanks for letting me rant.

Personal info

Why is My preferences and My Profile the same? There is no place to change my signature now. I am using the Woodalls Portal. I have also tried RV.net and Trailer Life portals with the same results.

RE: ocean lakes campground myrtle beach

I have only stayed in the HH section. This is close to the beach and the other entertainment. Here is their website if you need it.

RE: Skyline Drive or Blue Ridge Parkway?

If my memory serves me correctly when I lived in Culpeper, VA, Skyline Drive is the Blue Ridge Parkway.

RE: Campground recommendations Columbia, SC and Knoxville, TN

I have stayed at 2 different campgrounds right on I-40 near Knoxville. The Crosseyed Cricket which I didn't care for. A lot of low hanging trees near the entrance. The Soaring Eagle which was real easy to get to. Great for overnight. They are within a few miles of each other.

RE: Can't find a place to dump in North Carolina!

You can try the Goldsboro sewage treatment plant. Most cities will allow RV dumping at their plants. If you are military, probably Seymore-Johnson AFB will have a dump site.

RE: Adjusting water heater temperature setpoint

I added an adjustable thermostat to my water heater and got it at the local RV dealer parts department. It was about $30.00.

RE: Boondocking at a Walmart

Walmart sells a map book for $4.95 that lists all their stores in the country and if overnighting is allowed. I buy one every year.

RE: Which LNB to use on portable dish?

Don't forget to set it for a triple LNB on the setup screen so you get the correct azimuth, elevation and tilt required for the 3 LNB. I use the 3 LNB all the time and it works great.

RE: NC to Bar Harbor

I usually go up US-29 from Greensboro to Charlottesville. Then I-64 west across Blue Ridge Mts to I-81. Easy cross over Blue Ridge on I-64. Take I-81 to Scranton then I-84 across PA, NY and CT. Get on Mass Pike (I-90) to I-495 and 495 to 95 etc. When I took this trip last year, I-84 from Scranton and across NY was really in bad shape. a real bumpy ride. Shook my microwave loose. Good luck.

I-95 near Fayetteville, NC Paving

Just heard on the news this morning that they are going to be repaving I-95 between exits 30 and 40 near Fayetteville, NC for the next few weeks. Just thought I would let people know that may be headed that way. It will affect north and southbound.

RE: HELP! Some very specific "wants" and "needs" for my next RV

Not to change the subject, but a side note. You will probably have trouble going through the Baltimore tunnels with anything that has a propane tank. Just something to consider.

RE: Water System

I had a 1973 TT that had a 20 gal metal fresh water tank with an air pump to pressurize the system (tank and all). Water did NOT flow through the pump. It was just used to keep the system pressurized. If you do not have a separate non-pressurized fresh water tank, then it is a system like I described. If you do have a non-pressurized fresh water tank, then it probably is an acumulator tank to help keep pressure constant and the pump does have water going through it. Good Luck.

RE: Statesville NC to Lancaster PA

I like to take US-29 at Greensboro. It is excellent 4 lane highway all the way to Charlottesville. Then get on I-64 to I-81 then north to PA. I-64 over the Blueridge Mts is not bad at all. Or you could stay on US-29 all the way to I-66 and take I-66 to I-81. Bypass mountains totally.
